How do I commission my own designer hat ?

  1. Make an appointment
All consultations are by appointment so please use the contact form, call or email Millinery Matters to arrange your initial consultation.  This will be at a time to suit you. Evening and weekend appointments are available.

  2. Initial consultation
Here you will be able to discuss your ideas and requirements. Then you have the fun of trying on lots of different shapes and styles to find the best design for you.  Mixing and matching brim and crown "blanks" or trying on a range of finished samples. If you like a style, but feel the brim is too big or the crown too high, don't worry, all Millinery Matters head-wear is made from scratch, so you have the option to have your new creation exactly the way you want it. You will also be able to pick the materials and colours you would like and try different styles of trims.

If you have a particular outfit that you are planning to wear the hat with, be sure to bring this along with you to the consultation.

  3. Go ahead and make my hat
When you are happy with your choice and the cost is agreed, work on the hat can begin. At this point a deposit will be requested.

  4. Fitting appointment
A second meeting will take place to check that the hat is comfortable and fits you well. You will make final decisions on the trim for the hat and if required changes can be made at this stage.

  5. Collection
The final meeting will be for you to try on and take away your finished Millinery Matters creation. Final payment will be taken. All hats are supplied with elegant striped hat boxes to keep them safe.

Annie works with you throughout - from the initial design ideas to the final fitting. The whole process is entirely flexible to best meet your needs.

Several weeks are normally needed to create your hat or fascinator.  Ideally 4-6 weeks notice is preferred, especially at busy times of the year. However, if a hat is required at short notice, it may be possible, please call to check.

Consultations and fittings take place at Annie's workroom in South Littleton, near Evesham.
